Step 2 : Answer to the question "Who were the first people to hear that Jesus had been born?"

Shepherds - The message was for all the people, but it was delivered first to a group of humble shepherds. This is one of the facts that gives credence to the truth of the narrative. If you were going to make up a story about the Savior of the World being born, you would make sure that this news was announced to the most important people first. You definitely wouldn’t include the shepherds on that list. Shepherds were considered to be unreliable and couldn’t give evidence in court… so why would you choose them to share the Good News? But that’s exactly they way God chose to do it. He chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong. The lowly shepherds were hanging out in the fields, like always, watching their flocks by night. Suddenly an angel appeared with a message of good news that would be for all people—even shepherds. They were given the gift of coming face to face with angels, of hearing the amazing news of a savior, Christ the Lord. Then they were invited to go and see the child with their own eyes—but first they witnessed a glorious concert by a multitude of the angelic host. The unimportant shepherds got to spread the most important news of all.:
