...1. Connecticut 2. Massachusetts 3. Philadelphia 4. New York

Step 2 : Answer to the question "Which state has the most Ivy League schools?"

New York - There are eight elite universities across the Northeast that make up the Ivy League. New York is the only state with more than one Ivy League school: Columbia University in New York City and Cornell University in Ithaca. While Ivy League schools are perhaps best known for their prestigious learning opportunities and ultra-competitive admissions, the name technically refers to a collegiate athletic conference. The term first appeared in 1933 and became official after the NCAA used the title to form a Division I athletic conference across eight East Coast schools in the 1950s. The six other schools are: Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island; Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire; Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts; the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey; and Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.:
