Step 2 : Answer to the question "What European city hosts an annual wine-throwing festival?"

Haro, Spain - You won’t want to wear your best outfit to this party. La Batalla de Vino, which translates to “battle of wine” in Spanish, is a messy celebration in the town of Haro, located in northern Spain’s La Rioja wine region. On June 29, people of all ages don white clothing and red bandanas and gather at dawn to trek up to the highest point in town, led by the mayor on horseback. There, trucks holding 20,000 gallons of red wine await them, and the epic wine fight begins. The day continues with a feast, traditional dances, and more booze-soaked revelry. The tradition stems from a local 6th-century saint, who villagers honored by making pilgrimages to the cliffs above Haro and baptizing each other in wine. It officially became the battle of the wine in 1965 and has been held annually ever since. :
