The tower was built in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park ahead of the 2012 games and, at over 375 feet tall, is the U.K.’s largest sculpture. Opened in 2016, the 584-foot-long slide spirals down through the red twisted metal that supports the structure’s main platform, in a transparent tunnel that affords riders amazing views of London. Riders won’t have much time to admire the scenery, however, since the descent takes just 40 seconds as they travel at speeds of up to 15 mph through 12 thrilling twists and turns. :
