Step 2 : Answer to the question "Which of these seas has mostly disappeared since the 1960s?"

Aral Sea - At one point, the Aral Sea between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan was the fourth largest lake in the world, covering more than 26,000 square miles. About 20% of fish consumed in the Soviet Union came from the Aral Sea. Today, the sea occupies just 10% of its original surface area and no longer supports fish life. The reason for this traces back to the Soviet Union's expansion of agricultural production in central Asia during the 1960s. Given the arid climate, farms required water, so irrigation was used to divert water from the rivers that fed the Aral Sea. As the rivers shrank, the Aral Sea did, too. The environmental and economic impact of the disappearing Aral Sea was severe. The city of Muynak, Uzbekistan, was once a thriving port town, but now it's more than 75 miles away from the water. But the city has found a small silver lining — tourism. A graveyard of rusting ships in the former seabed attracts visitors from all over the world. :
