In 2001, Kuala Lumpur Sentral became the main hub, and the old location became a tourist attraction. The old station is still used for Komuter trains, and the site, with its intricate, Moorish-style architecture, became one of Kuala Lumpur’s most famous landmarks. Completed in 1910, the building was designed by architect Arthur Benison Hubback and has many Mughal features, like the chhatris (dome-capped pavilions) along its roof.
