Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Name the movie: "Stay gold, Ponyboy.""

...1. “The Lost Boys” 2. “The Outsiders” 3. “Stand By Me” 4. "To Kill a Mockingbird”

Step 2 : Answer to the question "Name the movie: "Stay gold, Ponyboy.""

“The Outsiders” - Ralph Macchio’s delivery of Johnny Cade’s last words to his dear friend Ponyboy, played by Christopher Thomas Howell, still cuts to the core years after Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Outsiders” was released in 1983. The film, based on S. E. Hinton’s 1967 novel, traces the friendships of Johnny, Ponyboy, Dallas Winston (Matt Dillon), and their gang of greasers who form their own makeshift family in 1960s Tulsa, Oklahoma. Also in the group of working-class teen boys are Ponyboy’s older brothers Sodapop (Rob Lowe) and Darrel (Patrick Swayze), Two-Bit (Emilio Estevez), and Steve (Tom Cruise). Of his role in the film, Macchio told “Parade” in celebration of the book’s 50th anniversary, “I always felt [Johnny Cade] sounded like I looked. Big puppy dog eyes, dark hair. He was the runt. I was never the biggest guy in class. But I didn’t come from his backstory by any stretch.”:
