Step 1 : Introduction to the question "What animals were recorded present at Jesus' birth?"

...1. A donkey and cattle 2. None 3. Sheep 4. Donkeys and sheep

Step 2 : Answer to the question "What animals were recorded present at Jesus' birth?"

None - Most children’s nativity plays feature adorable children in homemade costumes portraying a variety of animals. But the Bible doesn’t actually record any animals present at Jesus’ birth. We like to assume that Mary rode to Bethlehem on the back of donkey, because it’s hard to imagine a woman walking eighty miles while nine months pregnant. The manger the newborn infant slept in was a feeding trough for cattle, so we imagine that there were some cows nearby. The wisemen might have been from the region of Mesopotamia and apparently folks from the East traveled by camel, so that's how the three camels worked their way into the nativity play. But none of these animals are actually included in the Scripture. The only animal listed is the humble sheep, out in the fields with the shepherds. However even here, there’s no actual evidence that any sheep were invited to come and worship the newborn babe. The only one we know for sure was there at Jesus’ birth was the Lamb of God himself.:
