Step 2 : Answer to the question "What did Peter and John give the lame man instead of alms?"

The ability to walk - Peter and John were on their way to the temple to pray. They passed a man who was being carried to the temple gate. This man had been lame since birth and he spent his days begging for alms from the people who came to the temple. The man asked Peter and John for money, but Peter’s reply would change the man’s life forever. He said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have, I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” Peter reached down and grasped the man’s hand. He pulled him into a standing position and instantly the man’s feet and legs were made strong. He went into the temple with Peter and John, walking and leaping and praising God! All the people who saw him recognized him as the poor beggar asking for alms. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.:
