Step 2 : Answer to the question "Where is the world's longest continuous skyway system?"
Minneapolis - Minneapolis is home to the world's largest continuous skyway system, with 9.5 miles of second-level pathways connecting 80 city blocks. The first segment of the skyway opened in 1962, bridging what was then the Northwestern National Bank to the Northstar Center. The system took off from there, expanding to more than 8 miles by 2016 and an additional mile since. (Calgary, Alberta, has more mileage, but its system isn't continuous.) The skyway offers Minneapolis residents and visitors an elevated walkway to get from place to place, without vehicle traffic, street noise, and (of course) the icy conditions of a cold Minnesota winter. Initially built for office workers, it can now be used by anyone passing through downtown Minneapolis.:
