Step 2 : Answer to the question "Why did Pharaoh's daughter name her adopted son \"Moses\"?"

Because she drew him out of the water - Moses was born to an Israelite woman during a turbulent time in Egypt. The Pharaoh was demanding that all male babies born were to be killed. Moses' mother, Jochebed, hid her newborn son for three months. But when she could hide him no longer, she made a tiny ark for him out of bulrushes and pitch and set him adrift in the Nile river. His older sister followed along on the bank of the river to keep an eye on the baby in the basket. Pharaoh’s daughter came down to the river to bathe and discovered the baby floating there, crying in his basket. The baby’s clever sister piped up, “Shall I go and get a Hebrew woman to nurse him for you?” When the child’s real mother arrived, Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this child away and nurse him for me, and I will give you wages.” When the baby was old enough, his mother brought him back to Pharaoh’s daughter and he became her son. Pharaoh’s daughter named him Moses, which is a Hebrew name meaning, “I drew him out of the water.” Moses grew up in the Egyptian court and was educated as a noble. Many years later he would return to that very court, demanding freedom for his birth family and the Israelite people.:
