Step 1 : Introduction to the question "5. John Fogerty co-founded this hard driving band of the late 60s and early 70s and began his solo career after the demise of the group. What group?"
...1. Creedence Clearwater Revival 2. The Bayou Brothers Band 3. 1910 Fruitgum Company 4. The Chesterfields Of course John was one of the leaders of Creedence Clearwater Revival, one of the most popular bands of the late 60's and early 70s. Starting with "Proud Mary", and "Susie Q", they had a string of Top 20 hits during that period. Unfortunately, an internal dispute forced the group to part ways in 1973. Fogerty began his solo career shortly thereafter and released a couple of songs under the title of The Blue Ridge Rangers, but had only moderate success. He then released a song called "Rockin All Over The World" in 1975, under his own name, and immediately hit the Billboard Top 40. He had his best success in 1985, with the Top ten song "The Old Man Down The Road", as well as "Rock and Roll Girls", and "Centerfield". Put me in coach!
