[Answer] What state has the highest percentage of forest land?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "What state has the highest percentage of forest land?"

...1. Maine 2. Washington 3. Colorado 4. Ohio

Step 2 : Answer to the question "What state has the highest percentage of forest land?"

Maine - There's more to the Northeast than just cities — especially if you head all the way up the coast to Maine, a largely rural state with a higher percentage of forest land than any other state in the country. According to a USDA Northern Forest research study, Maine is 89% forest land, which is good for the top spot among all 50 states. Neighboring New Hampshire took second place (and actually finished ahead of Maine in tree cover, which is a little different — a tree on a golf course, for example, doesn’t count). Though they are all home to beautiful forests, the other states lose handily to Maine when it comes to just how much of the state those forests cover: Ohio is 28.9% forest land, Washington 40.7%, and Colorado just 17.5%.:
