Step 2 : Answer to the question "Where is this elephant statue?"
Rome, Italy :
The smallest of the 12 Egyptian obelisks in Rome is also one of the most interesting. Located at the Piazza della Minerva, near the Pantheon, you’ll find the handiwork of artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini, a marble pachyderm that supports an 18-foot obelisk. Diocletian brought the obelisk itself to Rome in the first century A.D., and it was rediscovered some 1600 years later, whereupon Pope Alexander VII determined it should stand in space where it was found. The elephant is most likely the work of Bernini’s assistant, Ercole Ferrata, and it was chosen because elephants have long been a symbol of wisdom.
