[Answer] Who was Moses' assistant?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Who was Moses' assistant?"

...Every good leader needs a right-hand man. Moses, one of the most famous leaders of the Bible, started out with his brother Aaron beside him. God told Moses that Aaron could serve as his mouthpiece when Moses was worried about his ability to speak. But when Moses went up to the top of Mount Sinai, he took with him Joshua, whom the scripture calls “his assistant.” Moses left Aaron and Hur behind to take care of the people and to settle any disputes they might have. But Aaron soon proved himself to be less than helpful. While Moses and Joshua were receiving the Ten Commandments, Aaron made a golden calf idol for the people. Meanwhile, Joshua was a faithful aide who served both Moses and the Lord. Joshua would later succeed Moses as leader, complete with several parallels to demonstrate how God was with Joshua just as he had been with Moses. God parted the waters of the Jordan for Joshua and the people to cross on dry land, just as he did with the Red Sea for Moses. Under Joshua’s leadership, the Israelites finally inherited the Promised Land.
