[Answer] What was Nikola Tesla's first invention?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "What was Nikola Tesla's first invention?"

...Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American engineer and physicist. He's remembered for his pioneering breakthroughs in producing, transmitting, and the application of electrical power. He was a prolific inventor but never managed to capitalize on his inventions. Though a genius in engineering, Tesla suffered with mental illnesses throughout his life. His first invention came in 1881, after he took a position as chief electrician to the telephone company in Budapest. He called his device a telephone repeater or amplifier. This voice amplifier for the telephone acted like a loud speaker. Tesla never sought a patent for the device nor did he release it publicly. This invention is today considered the precursor to the modern wireless telephone. Source: EdInformatics.com; History.com
