Panama City - F&F Tower may seem like a nondescript name for such a distinct skyscraper, so perhaps that’s why locals usually call it the Revolution Tower or El Tornillo, which translates to “The Screw.” Towering 52 stories above downtown Panama City, the office building was completed in 2012. The spiral design started as a theoretical experiment, and it was particularly challenging to build given the narrow size of the lot. The building’s upper 39 shining glass stories each rotate nine degrees around a central concrete axis, which creates four balconies on each office floor. The size of the floors gradually shrinks toward the top, and the spire brings it all to a point nearly 800 feet in the air.:
