It was called the Boston Latin School and is still in operation today (though the location of the original school has since changed). The Boston Latin School was a college prep school for boys only that focused on Latin, Greek, and the humanities. John Hancock, Samuel Adams, and Benjamin Franklin all attended the school, though Franklin later dropped out. The school is still in Boston, offering education for grades 7-12.:
