[Answer] Why did God strike King Uzziah with leprosy?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Why did God strike King Uzziah with leprosy?"

...Uzziah began as a great king for Judah. At first, he remained humble as God used him to defeat enemies and execute plans that prospered them. But then in verse 16, pride steps in, “But when he was strong, he grew proud, to his destruction.” He went into the temple to burn incense. That was a massive mistake because burning the Temple’s incense was a job only for the priests consecrated to do it. The priest Azariah and 80 other priests forcefully confronted him, telling him to leave because he had no authority to be there, and God was not pleased with his actions. As he held the incense in his hand, he grew angry and indignant with the priests. He was the king, after all. But it was this pride that led him to destruction. As the priests stood before him, leprosy broke out on his forehead. They immediately rushed him out of the Temple as lepers were classified as unclean. From that day to the day of his death, he lived with the disease and separated from the people. His son took over the reign of the kingdom.
