Dominica - Dominica may only be the sixteenth largest island in the Caribbean, but it is home to the region’s longest hiking trail. The Waitukubuli Trail stretches for 115 miles through rainforest and mountains, from the island’s southern tip to its northernmost point. It's no doubt a challenging hike, taking an average of two weeks to complete, but the trail is divided into 14 sections if you don’t want to trek for the entire journey. Along the way, hikers will not only see the island’s tallest peak (Morne Diablotins) but also Dominica’s famous Boiling Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage site that's home to the world’s second largest hot springs. 2017’s Hurricane Maria caused significant damage to many portions of the trail, but it reopened in 2019.:
