Step 2 : Answer to the question "Which Great Lake contains the SS Edmund Fitzgerald shipwreck?"

Superior - The Great Lakes form the largest freshwater system in the world, and they are also busy shipping routes for cargo. An elaborate system of locks and canals allows freighters to travel all the way from Lake Superior to the Atlantic Ocean. However, these vast lakes can be treacherous when storms blow in — the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum estimates that there are more than 6,000 sunken ships in the Great Lakes. On November 9, 1975, the SS Edmund Fitzgerald was loaded with more than 26,000 tons of iron ore pellets in Wisconsin before setting off for Detroit and Toledo. The weather on Lake Superior deteriorated overnight, and the last radio contact came the evening of November 10, when the ship disappeared. The reason for the sinking was never determined.:
