But Connery’s final film was “Sir Billi” (2012), in which he voiced the titular animated character. While he was retired from acting, Connery returned to voice a skateboarding veterinarian on a mission to save Scotland’s last beaver, Bessie Boo. Why would this be the film to inspire Connery to briefly step back into the Hollywood spotlight? Well, it was thanks to Connery’s grandchildren. When the grandchildren of his second wife, Micheline Roquebrune, saw a sample DVD of the film and adored it, he decided to lend his voice to the movie.:
