[Answer] Who was the first shepherd recorded in the Bible?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Who was the first shepherd recorded in the Bible?"

...Abel was the second-born son to Adam and Eve, and the first recorded shepherd in the Bible. Shepherds are key figures throughout the Bible. They were the first to hear of the Messiah's birth, and the word "shepherd" later became a key descriptor used for Jesus and/or God, both of whom we view as our holy shepherds. From biblical accounts, Abel was a model shepherd who tended well to his flock, and when the time arrived for him to offer the best and first to God as a sacrifice, he did so with a pure heart. This was in contrast to his older brother Cain's unsatisfactory sacrifice to God. As a shepherd, Abel did well as a keeper of his flock, unlike Cain, whose response to God's inquiry — "where is your brother?" — was rude and evasive. He responded, "Am I my brother's keeper?” This exposed that Cain's problem didn't lie in his farming profession; it was a problem within his jealous, hate-filled heart that he failed to regard himself as a keeper of his brother and also lacked the proper reverence for God. These unfortunate elements and more laid the foundation for the first shepherd in the Bible to become the first person murdered.
