Step 2 : Answer to the question "The most expensive bottle of wine ever sold came from which country?"

France - If you're used to a nice bottle of wine costing anywhere from $50 to $100, the 1945 Romanee-Conti vintage might come with a little sticker shock. A single bottle of the rare French Burgundy sold for a record $558,000 at a Sotheby’s auction in 2018, becoming the most expensive bottle of wine ever sold. The sale price was about 17 times higher than the bottle’s original estimated value of $32,000. A second bottle of the same wine and vintage also went for $496,000 at the auction. Only 600 bottles of the 1945 Romanee-Conti were ever produced, as it was the final vintage made from the winery’s prized original vines before they had to be replaced. The 1945 Romanee-Conti beat out the previous record holder for most expensive wine ever sold, a Mouton-Rothschild from the same year that sold for $310,000 in 2007.:
