[Answer] After Jesus took his last breath on the cross, from which direction did the tear in the Temple veil occur?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "After Jesus took his last breath on the cross, from which direction did the tear in the Temple veil occur?"

...When Jesus died on the cross, the earth responded in unprecedented ways. The skies darkened in sadness during the last three hours of his agonizing death. As he took his last breath, spasmodic earthquakes shook the earth in grief. And in the Temple of Jerusalem, the veil was ripped from top to bottom. The veil, most biblical scholars agree, was the curtain separating the other parts of the Temple from the holy of holies. The holy of holies represents the interior sanctuary where the presence of God dwells. Ordinary worshippers could not enter this sacred place; only the high priest could, and only once a year. The tear in the veil was significant. First, the rip starting from the top symbolizes God's hand from heaven performing the act. Secondly, according to Ephesians 2:13-14, ripping is a sort of heavenly affirmation regarding the finished work of Jesus. "But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility." The results include removing the divide between the Jews and the Gentiles, a change from the high priest being the only one with access to God to all worshippers having access, and Jesus as the new entryway to God instead of the physical temple veil.
