Step 2 : Answer to the question "What state is home to the smallest national forest in the country?"

Alabama - Eastern Alabama is where you’ll find the country’s smallest national forest. Even though it’s only 11,000 acres, the Tuskegee National Forest has plenty of opportunities for enjoying the outdoors. The eight-mile-long Bartram National Recreation Trail, named for naturalist and writer William Bartram, who traveled through the area in the 1770s, is covered in wildflowers in spring, and is a popular spot to soak up the changing leaves in fall. The forest also offers a shorter four-mile trail, Pleasant Hill, as well as plenty of opportunities for biking, fishing, horseback riding, and picnicking. And while there is a tiny 33-tree “forest” in Adak, Alaska, that calls itself the country’s smallest national forest, it’s not actually part of the National Forest System. :
