Step 2 : Answer to the question "On which Caribbean island was Alexander Hamilton born?"

Nevis - Alexander Hamilton was born on the Caribbean island of Nevis in 1755 or 1757 (historians aren’t exactly sure). The small island, located adjacent to St. Kitts in the Leeward Islands, was under British rule at the time. Hamilton’s father left his family when he was a young boy, and his mother and brother lived on the island until he was about seven (or nine) years old and left for St. Croix. She died shortly thereafter, leaving Hamilton an orphan. As a teen, he worked for a local mercantile employer, who sent him to America in 1773 to further his business education. (Of course, Hamilton had other political ambitions in mind.) The Founding Father’s legacy is still evident on Nevis, and you can visit his original birthplace, including a replica of his childhood home and a museum that tells the story of his early Caribbean years.:
