[Answer] What is the largest sea turtle species?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "What is the largest sea turtle species?"

...By far, the leatherback sea turtle is the largest of all living sea turtles. They typically grow to be 4 to 6 feet in length (the largest ever recorded was 10 feet), and they can range in weight from hundreds up to 2,000 pounds. They earned their name from a unique soft shell and soft eggs (all other sea turtle species have hard shells). Leatherbacks feed exclusively on jellyfish, using scissor-like jaws to grab their prey. This species has been found as far north as Alaska and as far south as South Africa. They are currently on the vulnerable list of endangered species, and scientists are working to track leatherbacks’ nesting locations to help save this unique species.
