Step 2 : Answer to the question "What is the highest island peak in the world?"

Puncak Jaya, Indonesia - Puncak Jaya, also called Carstensz Pyramid, is the world’s highest island peak, rising 16,024 feet above the western half of the island of New Guinea, in the Indonesian province of Papua. The peak gets its alternate name from Dutch explorer John Carstenz, the first European to spot the snow-topped equatorial mountain. Puncak Jaya is considered one of the Seven Summits — the tallest mountain on each continent — because it is the tallest in Oceania. (There is some political ambiguity about what constitutes the borders of Oceania, but most experts agree Puncak Jaya falls within them.) Austrian climber Heinrich Harrer and his team were the first to reach its summit in 1962. Puncak Jaya is also home to one of the world’s largest goldmines in Grasberg.:
