The most common misspelling was “favourite.” “Coronavirus” was third on the list, most often misspelled as “caronavirus” — in six states.

See, the thing about calling "favourite" a misspelling is that that is actually a valid spelling of the word. Just because we Americans are lazy and willing to accept the arbitrary changes Noah Webster made to the English language, doesn't make "favourite" an error.
