[Answer] Which city is home to this temple-filled lake?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Which city is home to this temple-filled lake?"

...1. Kyoto, Japan 2. Xi'an, China 3. Kaohsiung, Taiwan 4. Busan, South Korea

Step 2 : Answer to the question "Which city is home to this temple-filled lake?"

Kaohsiung, Taiwan - More than 20 vibrant temples dot the shoreline of Lotus Lake in the city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Most of them were built in the mid-20th century, although a (now-destroyed) temple to Confucius built in the 18th century was the first religious structure by the lake. What the temples lack in historic value, they make up for in eye-catching decor: the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas invite you to enter through the mouth of a dragon and leave from the jaws of a tiger, while the Pei Chi Pavilion pays homage to a Taoist god in the form of a gigantic statue. The temples are just as impressive inside as they are outside, with giant murals and intricate wood carvings to admire. The evening is a great time to visit, as many of the crowds have gone home, and the temples look their best when illuminated by hundreds of lanterns.:
