Step 2 : Answer to the question "Where is the oldest documented restaurant in Europe?"

Salzburg, Austria - Austria is home to Europe’s oldest documented restaurant, St. Peter Stiftskulinarium in Salzburg. Founded in 803 CE, the restaurant has served up Austrian cuisine like wiener schnitzel and apfelstrudel at St. Peter’s Abbey for more than 1,200 years. The restaurant’s speciality, however, is tafelspitz, made of boiled meat with apple and horseradish. Though the building has undergone several renovations and the restaurant has closed on and off over the centuries, many of the original dining rooms remain. The first written mention of St. Peter’s was in a poem by Charlemagne’s courtier, Alcuin of York, and since then it has served famous guests such as Mozart and Faust. Today, guests can not only dine here but enjoy daily Mozart dinner concerts. :
