Calp, Spain - This reddish-pink building looks like something out of a vintage video game, but it's actually a real-life apartment complex in Calp (or Calpe), on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. La Muralla Roja, or "The Red Wall," is part of a housing project in the La Manzanera development. Inspired by Arab Mediterranean design, architect Ricardo Bofill created this striking building to have bright colors that contrasted the rocky landscape. Despite its deceptively simple-looking design, the interior is described as very "maze-like," with lots of interlocking stairs and bridges. In all, there are 50 apartments that range from studios to three-bedrooms, as well as a swimming pool, roof terraces, sunrooms, and a sauna.:
