It collected more than 453,000 images of the distant planet. The mission was a collaboration between NASA, the European Space Agency, and the Italian Space Agency. Finally, in 2017, it dove into Saturn's atmosphere, thus ending its mission. Thanks to the Cassini mission, scientists now know that one of Saturn's moons, Titan, is remarkably similar to Earth. :
