Step 2 : Answer to the question "The Labyrinth from Greek mythology was said to be on which Greek island?"

Crete - The mythical Greek labyrinth was said to have been designed by Daedalus to house the terrible half-man, half-bull Minotaur. The maze was traditionally believed to have been built beneath King Mino's palace at Knossos in Crete in around 1950 BCE. According to legend, the hero Theseus used a ball of thread to find his way out of the labyrinth after he slayed the Minotaur. The archaeological remains of the palace at Knossos were discovered in the early 20th century and the sprawling complex, with many rooms and corridors was thought to be analogous with a labyrinth. However, no concrete evidence for an actual maze was unearthed. A further site at Gortyn on the southern shore of Crete has also been proposed as the site of the labyrinth as it features a network of caves linked by seemingly man-made tunnels. :
