But at least one of these seven countries wants to stand out from the pack: Kazakhstan’s former president, Nursultan Nazarbayev, first threw out the idea, suggesting the country be called “Kazakh Eli,” translating to “Kazakh Nation.” While that may be unlikely to happen, a name change isn’t completely off the table: The country’s capital city was renamed last year, from Astana to Nur-Sultan, in the former president's honor.:
