[Answer] Where will you find America's oldest restaurant?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Where will you find America's oldest restaurant?"

...1. New York, New York 2. Newport, Rhode Island 3. Boston, Massachusetts 4. Richmond, Virginia

Step 2 : Answer to the question "Where will you find America's oldest restaurant?"

Newport, Rhode Island - America’s oldest restaurant (and bar) has been serving customers for more than three centuries and actually predates the country itself by about a hundred years. In 1673, the White Horse Tavern in Newport, Rhode Island, opened its doors to customers — despite the sober-minded reputation of early colonial settlers like the Puritans and Quakers, there still appeared to be plenty of thirsty patrons to support a local watering hole. With a distinctive red clapboard exterior, the building itself has stood even longer, since 1652 — making it one of the oldest buildings in the U.S. today. (It's even rumored to be haunted.) Save for a short break during prohibition, the White Horse Tavern has been serving food and drinks ever since, longer than any other bar or restaurant in the country. So if you do visit, you’ll be imbibing in a sip of a history.:
