The first game-playing device designed to be attached to a television, the Brown Box was commercialized by Magnavox as the Odyssey in 1972. Baer’s version of the game ping-pong was seen by Nolan Bushnell, the co-founder of the early arcade company Atari, and had his main designer create a version of their own, called Pong. Baer created dozens of other games, was honored by President George W. Bush with the National Medal of Technology in 2006 and was inducted into the National Inventors’ Hall of Fame in 2010.:
