The following year, Adolphus Busch married Anheuser’s daughter Lily and joined her father’s beer company, which became Anheuser-Busch. Budweiser was introduced in 1876, and by the turn of the century the company was brewing one million barrels of beer annually from their operation in St. Louis. When prohibition ended in 1933, the company’s first team of Clydesdale horses pulled a wagon full of beer out of the factory, becoming an iconic symbol of the brand. One team of the company’s famous horses is still at the brewery, which is open to the public for tours.:
