Washington - The title of the longest floating bridge goes to — drumroll, please — the Washington State Department of Transportation's Evergreen Point Floating Bridge. According to Guinness World Records, the bridge, which links Bellevue to Seattle and was inaugurated in April 2016, measures 7,710 feet in length. It isn’t the only record-holder built by the WSDOT, though. The previous “longest floating bridge” title went to the 7,518-foot floating section of the original Evergreen Point Floating Bridge built in 1963, which had to be replaced due to concerns about its ability to withstand earthquakes.:
