[Answer] Who said, "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord"?

Step 1 : Introduction to the question "Who said, "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord"? "

...God spoke through Joshua and built a strong case for serving Him. Intertwined in his challenge to the people, Joshua offered an invitation to compare the gods of the surrounding nations to their God. He reminded them of their father, Abraham, whom the Lord took away from a pagan worshipping community to establish a covenant with him and his descendants. He wanted them to recall how He delivered them from Egypt and, through various mighty acts, brought them to the place where they now stood. Still, despite all this, they had begun to dabble in worshipping the gods of the local people. Joshua challenged them to choose between the God of their forefathers and the gods of the local pagan religions — they could not worship both. He reminded them that serving God means fearing Him, serving Him in sincerity and faithfulness, and not yielding to other gods. Thankfully, the people chose God that day.
