...1. Straightforward and honest 2. Stupid or unsophisticated 3. Well-rounded 4. Noisy and aggressive A simple-minded person might have "half a brain", but we wouldn't say they had "half a mind." That has a very different meaning, as in, "I have half a mind to take this aged trout and wallop you over the head with it!"
